Daylight Savings Time will end on Sunday, November 1st at 2am.
Don't forget to change your timepieces back one hour on Halloween before you go to bed and enjoy the extra hour of sleep.
If you have any questions about how to change the time or date please contact one of our timepiece experts, or if you prefer, just stop by one of our stores and we'd be happy to help you out. Now is also a good time to remember to have your fine timepiece cleaned, fine tuned, and maintained.
Here are some of the general timing guidelines for maintenance:
- Chronographs and more complicated movements: at least every 5 years
- Less complicated like a standard time keeper: every 5-7 years (after 7 years the lubrication is depleted so you should really do it sooner than later)
- If the watch is used for diving or swimming on a regular basis, then the gaskets should be changed: at least every 3 years
- Having your watch professionally cleaned is recommended more frequently to remove dirt that builds up in the bracelet and causes stress and wear: every year
